Rob Krar and Emma Roca Take the Win at 32nd Annual ‘Race Across the Sky’ Leadville Trail 100 Run

August 16 and 17 marked the 32nd annual Leadville Trail 100 Run, presented by New Balance and produced by Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company (NYSE: LTM). Nearly 700 runners from across the U.S. and around the world came to Leadville, Colo., to compete in the legendary ‘Race Across the Sky’ event and run 100 miles through the challenging Colorado Rockies terrain with elevations ranging from 9,200 to 12,600 feet and a total elevation climb of more than 18,000 feet.

Hafer, Richardson Win Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon

Chilly temperatures greeted participants of the 36th Annual Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon on Saturday morning at Georgetown Lake.  Over 2,000 participants made their way down the Clear Creek Valley and into Idaho Springs for the post-race festivities under sunny skies and warmer temperatures.

Colorado’s Roth Breaks 35-Year-Old USA H.S. Steeplechase Record

When it comes to records, 35 years is a pretty darn long time. Rewind the clock back three and a half decades and the calendar reads 1979. Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" was atop the music charts, a gallon of gasoline cost 90 cents, and Bill Rodgers was Boston Marathon champion (his third of four wins).

Kilian Jornet Sets New Hardrock 100 Record, Boulder’s Darcy Piceu Grabs Third Win

The Hardrock 100 Endurance Run is known as one of the toughest ultras in the world.  Taking place in the heart of the San Juans, the 100-mile run boasts a head-shaking 33,992 feet of climbing and 33,992 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 67,984 feet, with an average elevation of 11,186 feet.  The lowest point of the course is 7,680 feet in Ouray, and the highest point is a whopping 14,048 feet at Handies Peak.  Needless to say, the race consistently attracts some of the world's best ultrarunners year after year, and  2014 was no different.

Colorado’s Bailey Roth Set National Record In 2,000 Meter Steeplechase

Colorado's Bailey Roth brought the crowd to its feet here at New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2014, establishing a new national high school record for the 2000m steeplechase. Roth's 5:41.67 showing was just one highlight stemming from the distance events on the second day of competition at America's high school track and field championships.
