John Wayne Grit Series has raised $234,000

The John Wayne Cancer Foundation’s 2022 John Wayne Grit Series has raised $234,000 for the fight against cancer. This is a marked increase of 63% from 2021’s Grit Series. Fifteen hundred runners and volunteers participated in the five-run series, which took place in Pioneertown, Newport Coast and Lone Pine in California; Ridgway, Colorado; and Fort Worth, Texas. Special thanks to Bruce Engle (pictured below) from the Lone Pine race, who was the top individual fundraiser this year.

Horton, Stepanov, Kokopelli Kids win national titles at Junior Olympics in Texas

On Saturday (10-Dec), 169 athletes representing 10 clubs from the Colorado association competed at the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in College Station, Texas.  The event was held on the Texas A&M University Dale Watts Cross Country Course. A total of 2828 athletes and 226 teams from across the country competed in the championships.
