IRONMAN announced that the 2023 IRONMAN® 70.3®Boulder triathlon will be moving to a new date on the calendar beginning in 2023. A staple in Colorado and on the IRONMAN calendar since 2002, the long-standing event will now take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, with presale registration opening on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Day six of the 2022 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships saw enduro, short-track, and cross-country national champions crowned at Colorado's Winter Park Resort. With the top racers in the country battling to the finish, the races captivated spectators both online and in person.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Speedgoat Mountain Races by UTMB® offered some of the most exhilarating trail running on the planet. Both elite and passionate runners from around the United States and the globe descended upon Snowbird Ski Resort in Snowbird, Utah on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 to take on three demanding courses of 50km, 28km and 11km filled with breathtaking views and beautiful mountain trails on the unique rocky terrain of the Wasatch Mountains.

Kilian Jornet of Spain and Courtney Dauwalter of Colorado set new course records at the Hardrock 100 endurance race in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado, finishing in 21:36:24 and 26:44:36 respectively. They broke the previous records held by Francois D’Haene (21:45:50, 2021) and Diana Finkel (27:18:24, 2009). The race is considered one of the toughest endurance competitions in the world at 102 miles long over difficult terrain and at a high elevation.

Yonatan Kefle, 23, of Brighton ran a blazing fast 5K and a new course record in 14:58 at the Cookie Chase 5K on Saturday, July 9. That's running four minutes and 50 seconds per mile!

What’s more rewarding than running at 10,000 feet surrounded by spectacular views? Get ready for some high-altitude excitement as the Vail Recreation District trail running season continues on July 16 at 8 a.m. with the Dynafit 5K & 10K @ 10,000 Feet Trail Run.
