Yonatan Kefle, 23, of Brighton ran a blazing fast 5K and a new course record in 14:58 at the Cookie Chase 5K on Saturday, July 9. That’s running four minutes and 50 seconds per mile! The race was held at Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver on a day that saw temperatures later soar to 100 degrees and set a new record high for heat on that day. Lindsey Burdette of Erie won the women’s race in 18:56. In all, 755 runners and walkers completed the 3.1 mile race distance.
