Outside Events Announces Outside Cycling Series with Races in Colorado

Outside Events Cycling Series, formerly Roll Massif, returns this May through September with its annual series of nine cycling events on iconic courses in Colorado and New Mexico. From road, gravel and mountain bike events each offers riders a range of terrain, distances and challenges to suit most all abilities. The 2022 event lineup includes five road rides, two gravel races and two 12-hour mountain bike races. The series kicks off May 14th and runs through September 17, 2022.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s 4-mile Run to the Shrine is this weekend

Run or walk to the sound of roaring lions and take advantage of the ONLY opportunity of the year to travel the breathtaking road to the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun by foot. This course offers amazing views of Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods as you traverse four miles round-trip and ascend 1,000 feet up to the Shrine and back down to the Zoo.

Salt Lake City, Utah Becomes Newest Rock ‘N’ Roll Running Series Host City

The Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series, the world’s largest running series, announced today with Sports Salt Lake, that Salt Lake City, Utah will become the newest destination for the Series. As part of the announcement the Utah Sports Commission will also come on as the presenting partner for the event.

Mark Tatum of Colorado Springs to defend title in the Dipsea Race

Mark Tatum of Colorado Springs is the defending champion in the annual Dipsea Race, the oldest trail race in the country. The 111th Dipsea will be held Sunday, June 12. Last year Mark became the first non-California runner to win the Dipsea in 35 years. He is one of 21 runners from Colorado entered in this year's Dipsea, the most of any state outside California.

Boulder’s Nell Rojas, Scott Fauble Are Top Americans at Boston Marathon

It was a Kenyan sweep at the Boston Marathon with Evan Chebet winning the men's race in 2:06:51 and Peres Jepchirchir capturing the women’s title in 2:21:01. The top Americas both have Colorado ties. Boulder's Scott Fauble, who graduated from Wheat Ridge High School and is a two-time CHSAA champion, finished seventh among the men in 2 hours, 8 minutes, 52 seconds. Boulder's Nell Rojas, who was also top American last year, came in 10th among the women at 2:25:57.
