Conditions could not have been more perfect for the Pumpkin Pie 5K and 10K this past Saturday, resulting in two new course records set in the 5K by Andy Wacker and Clarissa Whiting. Hosted by Colorado Runner Events, the 5K event hosted the USATF Colorado State Championship, providing a $900 prize purse for current USATF members.
The Veterans Day celebration started early this year, with the Denver Veterans Day Run kicking off on Sunday in City Park. The annual event is hosted by the Colorado Veterans Project, whose mission is to enhance pride and patriotism in all Coloradans by building a stronger, more supportive community around our Veterans. The parade and festival will take place on Saturday, November 11th.
