Runners Brave Freezing Temps at Super Sunday 5K

Every year, South Suburban Parks and Recreation puts on the Super Sunday 5K on Super Bowl Sunday. This year, the weather brought out some flurries and temperatures in the med-teens.

Christians, Renner Win Super Bowl 5K

Despite freezing temperatures, over 700 runners and walkers took part in the Super Bowl 5K this past Sunday at Wash Park in Denver. Hosted by BKB, Ltd. and HAL Sports, the event is the third in the RunDenver Series. Participants were treated to a fun big game warm-up with a speedy 5K, kids fun run, crazy fan costume contest, compression socks, finisher's medal, games, food, drinks and more.

Mild morning temperatures lead to fast times at Frosty's Frozen Five and Ten at Hudson Gardens in Littleton. The second event in Colorado Runner’s Winter Distance Series attracted hundreds of runners and walkers to the clear, flat, and fast South Platte River Trail for a 5M, 10M, or both!
