IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder to shift dates on the calendar beginning in 2023

IRONMAN announced that the 2023 IRONMAN® 70.3®Boulder triathlon will be moving to a new date on the calendar beginning in 2023. A staple in Colorado and on the IRONMAN calendar since 2002, the long-standing event will now take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, with presale registration opening on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Dauwalter and Jornet Win Hardrock 100 in New Course Records

Kilian Jornet of Spain and Courtney Dauwalter of Colorado set new course records at the Hardrock 100 endurance race in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado, finishing in 21:36:24 and 26:44:36 respectively. They broke the previous records held by Francois D’Haene (21:45:50, 2021) and Diana Finkel (27:18:24, 2009). The race is considered one of the toughest endurance competitions in the world at 102 miles long over difficult terrain and at a high elevation.

Hemming, Wacker win USATF Mountain Running Championships

After last year’s event was hosted by the Gnar Gnar on Mt Hood in Oregon, the USATF Mountain Running Championship returned to the “Beast Coast” to be hosted by the Whiteface Mountain Races in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. Perfect racing weather set the scene under a blue sky, with low wind and start time temperatures in the high 50s at the base of Whiteface Mountain.
