After a special night edition last year, Westminster returns to its traditional daytime format in 2026 — bringing runners back to a classic morning on the trails at Standley Lake.

Now in its 12th year, Westminster Trail Race continues to be one of the Front Range’s most approachable and scenic trail events. The courses wind along the shores of Standley Lake with wide-open views of the water and the mountains beyond, offering smooth dirt paths, gentle rollers, and just enough climbing to keep things honest.

Distances include:

• 5K – A welcoming out-and-back with manageable elevation
• 10K – Lake views and steady rhythm
• Half Marathon – 13 miles of scenic shoreline trail
• 35K – A rewarding step up in distance
• 50K – 2,358 feet of elevation gain across rolling Front Range terrain

Every distance is thoughtfully supported with aid stations and clear course layout, making this a strong option for first-time trail runners and experienced athletes alike.
