Due to the ongoing impact of the Willow Fire on Leadville, Lake County, and our local emergency resources, the 2026 Silver Rush Events will not take place as planned this year. This decision was not made lightly, but our priority is the safety considerations for athletes, volunteers, staff, partners, and the local community. Registered athletes have been emailed directly with available options. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the Willow fire, especially our first responders working tirelessly to protect our community. Updated July 6, 2026.

Silver Rush 50 Mile

Take on 50 miles of extreme territory that starts at 10,200 feet and reaches 12,000 feet on four separate occasions at the Silver Rush 50 Run. It will leave your lungs burning, heart pounding and eyes completely amazed — while also preparing you for the pinnacle Leadville Trail 100 Run presented by La Sportiva.

New to 2019, the Silver Rush 50 weekend will be adding a 15.5 mile Run race on Saturday, July 6th at 8:30 a.m. This race will start and finish on the same course as the Silver Rush 50 Run, but will feature mostly single track for the 15.5-miles. This race provides an excellent entry option into ultra running and will, of course, be accompanied by the tremendous Leadville views along the way.
