West, Demessie Win Yeti Chase 10K, Knutsen, Valentine Win 5K

A sold-out field converged on Bear Creek Lake Park Sunday morning for the Yeti Chase 5K and 10K.  You wouldn't think participants were out to chase yetis, though, as the majority of runners and walkers were donning Broncos apparel in preparation for the afternoon AFC Championship game, where the Broncos defeated the Patriots, earning their ticket to the Superbowl.

Participants of the Rudolph Ramble successfully located the missing Rudolph this past Sunday at City Park in Denver.  The event is the first of five in the RunDenver Race Series, and kicked off under unseasonably warm temperatures and sunshine.

Boulder’s Edie Stevenson Sets New Masters Record at .US National 12K

Three Masters records fell Sunday, Nov. 15 at the .US National 12K Championships on George Washington Parkway, where Perry Shoemaker ran away with her third consecutive title, Kristian Blaich won the overall Masters crown and Kathy Martin age-graded over 100 percent. The .US National 12K  is also a part of the Masters Club Grand Prix for 2015.

Poland, Becque Win The Great Candy Run

A picture perfect day set the scene for The Great Candy Run at Wash Park in Denver Sunday morning, with cool temperatures to start and warm, abundant sunshine at the finish.  The 5,300+ crowd of participants were treated to a sweet morning of race festivities, including a kids fun run, 5K race with prize money on the line and a fully stocked vendor village and post-race party.

Devries, Goodrich Win Run the Rocks 5K

The 9th Annual Run the Rocks 5K attracted over a thousand participants to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater on a sunny, warm and windy Sunday morning.  The event is hosted by the American Lung Association which raises funds to help make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by lung disease.  This year's event has raised over $55,000 and is still accepting donations.

Extreme Endurance Athlete Marshall Ulrich Completes 20th Badwater Ultramarathon

Crossing the finish line in 42 hours, 30 minutes after running the 135 miles across blazing hot Death Valley was not a record setting time for veteran ultrarunner Marshall Ulrich. A Colorado native, Ulrich is the record four-time winner of the iconic Badwater ultramarathon that starts at the Badwater basin, the lowest elevation in North America at 282 feet below sea level, and officially ends at the 8,360-foot Whitney Portal trailhead on the mountain.
