Monda and Schymik Win Bluffs Run 8K in Lone Tree

This year's Bluffs Run 8K in Lone Tree had a sold out race with 204 entrants. Eric Monda of Highlands Ranch won the race in 30:34 on the hilly course. Anissa Schymik of Littleton was top female in 35:18. The race kicked off on Sunday, August 23 at 7:30am amid the rolling hills and beautiful views through the Bluffs Regional Park.

DeMoor, Charboneau win Pikes Peak Marathon

Not even a global pandemic, extreme heat and dry air, wild fires and lingering smoke from said wild fires could stop the 65th annual Pikes Peak Marathon from happening. With the cancellation of the Boston Marathon this year, the Pikes Peak Marathon is now the longest continuously running marathon in the United States.

5K in Denver Attracts 300 Finishers

The Cookie Chase 5k at Denver's City Park attracted 300 finishers on Sunday, August 16, 2020. Christopher Rego of Colorado Springs was first in 16:10 with Josef Gertner of Fort Morgan placing second in 16:16. Adrienne Barry of Englewood was first female in 18:13 with Boulder's Courtney Nicoletti was second in 19:48.

Wacker, Lincks win Berry Picker Trail Race in Vail

Just under 150 people toed the line for the annual Dynafit Berry Picker Trail Race in Vail this last weekend. Testing runners of all abilities on both single-track and double-track terrain, the race covered 4.5 miles of uphill running with an average grade of 14 percent. The race ended at Mid-Vail at the top of Gondola One where participants could download back to the expo area.
