Colorado Veterans Project (CVP), one of the largest veteran-related nonprofits in Colorado, has announced the dates for its 2024 events, including the Freedom 4-Miler, Let Freedom Swing Golf Tournament and the Denver Veterans Day Run, Parade & Festival.

A new, large outdoor recreation festival is coming to Denver in June, Gov. Jared Polis announced. The two-day Outside Festival highlighting Colorado’s outdoor recreation industry will be hosted at Civic Center Park from June 1-2. Outside Festival is set to feature new outdoor gear, live music, adventure films, speakers, activities and exhibits.

The USATF Mountain Ultra Trail championships calendar is set for 2024. Eleven events will be staged featuring distances from 10 kilometers to 100 miles as well as 24 hours, on road, trail, and mountain terrain. In its 39th year of honoring the nation's most elite high school athletes, Gatorade today announced Porter Middaugh of Battle Mountain High School is the 2023-24 Gatorade Colorado Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year. Middaugh is the first Gatorade Colorado Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year to be chosen from Battle Mountain High School.
