Bobcat Ridge is a great, runnable training ground with easy access to Loveland and Fort Collins.   It’s a great trail all-year, notable for wildlife sightings and being a gateway with wild views and off-trail access deeper into the public land of the Big Thompson valley.

The recent Olympic trials marathon in Los Angeles were run in poor conditions and on a course not conducive to fast times.  Indeed, of the 166 men's starters, just 18 finished inside the 2:19 qualifying mark, and 61 would not finish at all. For the women, those numbers ran as 198 starters, just 40…

You couldn't have asked for a better day to host the final event in Colorado Runner's Winter Distance Series: the Snowman Stampede 5 mile and 10  mile.
