Hellen Obiri is a generational talent. But when the two-time Olympic medalist in the 5,000 meters announced that she was moving up to the marathon in 2022, doubts circulated that her loping stride, swinging arm carriage, and up-and-down bob would translate to the 26.2-mile distance.

The 2025 USATF Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up on Sunday, February 23, in Gainesville, FL. A total of 22 members from USATF Colorado competed in 50 events during the four-day competition, which began on Thursday.

Though the name Oliver Horton of Coronado High School may sound familiar, this sophomore is showing huge improvements from his very impressive freshman season, where he finished an impressive 3rd place in the 3200m at the 4A Colorado State Championships.
