Alamosa Parks and Recreation and Adams State Adventure Programs are partnering to bring the San Luis Valley the first annual “Valley Bottom Rio Trio”; an adventure-style triathlon race within the City of Alamosa!  This fully chip-timed race will feature an 8-mile trail bike ride, a 3-mile paddle on the Rio Grande, and a 5k run. Participants will be given the option of doing all three legs of the race solo, or as a part of a 3-person relay team. Bring your own boat or rent a kayak or SUP from us! The inaugural race will take place on the morning of Saturday, June 12^th! An outdoor awards ceremony, lunch made from local ingredients, and local beer libations will take place following the race. A free children’s adventure triathlon (ages 6-11) will take place before the main event!
