The Colorado Domestic Duck Rescue 5k Run to Rescue is a untimed fun run or walk to support the rescue and homing of domestic ducks dumped by their owners into environments where they will not survive. The run, to be held Sept. 28, 2025 at 9 a.m., supports education efforts to build awareness concerning proper domestic duck care and rehoming in addition to rescue. 

The 5k (3.1 miles) is geared toward fun and education. The run is $50 and is tax deductible. Participants can walk, run, or waddle and will receive shirts, a toy duck (your finish medal), and knowledge about the plight of these flightless birds. Water will be available at the 1.5 mile mark and finish line.  Participants must arrive at 8:30 a.m. for check-in.
