Fleet Feet Buys JackRabbit, Owner of the Boulder Running Company stores

Fleet Feet has agreed to acquire JackRabbit from affiliates of CriticalPoint Capital. Fleet Feet said via statement the transaction is expected to close in early December. The transaction, according to Fleet Feet, includes all JackRabbit brick-and-mortar locations, which spans 15 states, as well as the Jackrabbit.com e-commerce business. JackRabbit owns the Boulder Running Company stores throughout Colorado.

Denver Reopens civic center Park

Part of Denver's Civic Center Park has reopened after a two-month shutdown. The park is used for many downtown road races, such as the Denver Hot Chocolate Run, which was moved into Washington Park last month, due to the closure. Denver’s health department shut down the park in mid-September and, crews have been busy cleaning the park and making restorations.

The Pikes Peak Marathon and Ascent are moving to September in 2022. For the first time in its 67-year history, the iconic Colorado races will be held after Labor Day. The new dates are on September 17 and 18, 2022. Organizers say there are several reasons for the change from August.

Colorado High School Runners Compete at State Cross Country Meet

Colorado's best high school cross country runners lined up to compete at the state meet on Saturday. In 5A, Riley Stewart, a Cherry Creek senior, won the individual title yet again, notching a three-peat in her high school finale. The Stanford-bound runner won in 17 minutes, 20.9 seconds.
