It’s the Donut Dash 5K Race Week!

The Donut Dash 5K will kick off on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Washington Park in Denver. With themed shirts, finisher’s medals, disposable bib chip timing, free photo downloads, and more, this is a great value and a family friendly fun run. The 5K kicks off at 9 am. Eggs: Unscrambling the Confusion

When it comes to eating eggs, nutrition advice has changed. In 1968, the American Heart Association (AHA) recommended Americans consume no more than three whole egg per week. The  belief was eating cholesterol-rich egg yolks would elevate cholesterol in the blood, which would increase one’s risk for clogging arteries, developing cardiovascular disease, and having a heart attack or stroke.

Runners, Iron & Anemia

Many of today's runners are eating little or no red meat (such as beef, lamb), which is one of the best sources of dietary iron. These athletes—in particular, dieting runners who eat less food overall—are simultaneously consuming less iron. Iron is a mineral found in the hemoglobin molecule inside red blood cells. It helps transport oxygen from your lungs to your muscles.
