For Quinn Sullivan, his final high school season is about more than times and placements. It’s about solidifying his legacy.
The Niwot senior has already established himself as a top contender. Sullivan finished fifth at Nike Cross Nationals last fall, took third at the Colorado 5A Cross Country State Championships and owns personal bests of 14:34.48 for XC 5K and 4:03.93 in the mile.
There is still more that he seeks to accomplish.
“This senior season to me is a chance to leave my footprint,” Sullivan said. “Of course that goes for multiple things, from team to state to national, it changes. In the end though this season is where I get to give the experience I have learnt to those younger than me while also shooting my shot to leave my footprint in high school cross country and track.”
Final Season At Niwot
Sullivan is already off to another flying start. Most recently, he finished third at the stacked 2026 Desert Twilight XC Invitational in 14:35.90, helping Niwot capture its fourth consecutive Sweepstakes team title.
His range was on full display last spring as well, when he finished runner-up in the 800 meters at the Colorado State Championships in 1:49.08.
Sullivan has committed to Stanford University, where he will continue his running career after graduating from Niwot. But first, he has one more season with a program that means much more to him than results.
