Introduction: Madison Lange of Parker, Colorado has taken the middle school track and field scene by storm. The soon-to-be freshman has turned heads with her outstanding performances on the track this past spring. Competing for the Elevated Distance Track Club during the 2025 track season, Madison put together a string of impressive accomplishments. She earned two indoor national titles at the Adidas Track Nationals, where she won and set meet records in both the girls’ 800m (2:15.66) and the full mile (5:04.41). Take a look at her interview here. “Overall, I felt very accomplished and very happy with my track season this year,” Madison shared.

Later in the season, she was invited to compete in the elite 800m field at the Brooks PR Invitational in Seattle, where she finished as the runner-up with a blistering personal best of 2:11.93. “I was honored to be invited to compete,” she said. “It was my best race, and I was able to hit the exact time my coach and I had talked about. Overall, I had an amazing track season and can’t wait for next year!”

The Training and Who Is Madison: The training behind Madison’s incredible spring season consisted of running four days a week, with most of those sessions spent training alongside her Elevated Distance Club teammates and coaches. Her weekly mileage during the spring peaked at 20 miles, though that would fluctuate depending on the racing calendar. The emphasis was always on quality over quantity in her training approach. A mix of track specific workouts, hill repetitions, and longer distance runs formed the foundation of her program. When she’s not focused on running, Madison enjoys staying active in other ways. She loves playing sand volleyball and flag football with her friends and family. She’s also passionate about cooking and baking. “I’m learning how to cook and bake, and I like to experiment in the kitchen with healthy recipes,” she shared.
