2026 USATF Mountain Ultra Trail Championships Announced

The USATF Mountain Ultra Trail (MUT) Executive Committee announces that the following seven events have been selected to host USATF Championships in 2026 (pending receipt of completed paperwork by USATF). A combined prize purse of $77,650 will be awarded at these championship events along with USATF medals and patches. Additional USATF MUT Championships will be announced as they are confirmed.

USATF Mountain Running Championships

Classic Mountain Championships – June 7 – Sunapee Scramble – Sunapee, NH
Uphill Mountain Championships – June 19 – Broken Arrow Ascent – Palisades Tahoe, CA
* Both events will be sole selection races for the 2026 USATF Uphill and 2026 USATF Classic Mountain Running Teams that will compete in the WMRA World Cup Uphill and Classic finale in Quebec, Canada on October 10-11. Additionally the Broken Arrow 23km to be held on June 21, will be the sole selection race for the 2026 USATF Long Mountain Team that will compete in Poland on September 19, at the WMRA World Cup Long Distance Mountain Running finale. Specific details about team selection will be forthcoming.

USATF Ultra and Trail Running Championships

100 Mile Road Championships – February 20 – Jackpot 100 – Henderson, NV
100km Road Championships – April 11 – MadCity Ultras – Madison, WI
50km Trail Championships – August 15 – Wy’east Trail Fest – Mt. Hood, OR
Half Marathon Trail Championships – November 7 – Moab Half Marathon – Moab, UT
50 Mile Road Championships – November 14 – Tunnel Hill – Vienna, IL
