One of our last future stars for the 2025 cross country season is sophomore Calia Vaughn of Boulder High School! She has been incredibly consistent throughout this whole season and will look to improve on her 30th place finish at the 5A State Cross Country Championship a year ago.
She opened up her season at Liberty Bell, where she ran an incredible time of 17:26 and placed 8th overall. It was her first time under 18 minutes, and she smashed her previous personal best time of 18:17. Then she went on to run 16:42 for the 3 mile race at the Woodbridge XC Classic, where she placed 24th overall.
In her most recent result, Vaughn placed 2nd overall at the 5A Region 3 Championship, only finishing behind Addison Ritzenhein. Niwot High School is one of the top teams in the nation, so for Vaughn to break up the team shows how even more impressive that result is.
