Our next feature for the future star series as we enter the last couple weeks of the fall season is Colton Goucher of Fairview High School. Throughout this season, Goucher has ran some impressive times and finished well in fields with much more mature and older runners, yet he has still held his own.

In his first race of the season, Goucher almost broke 17 minutes, running 17:00 at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede. He then went on to run 16:33 for his second high school race ever and then an incredible time of 15:51 at Liberty Bell. He ran in the highly competitive sweepstakes division and was the second fastest freshman in the race.

Though Liberty Bell is an incredibly fast course, Goucher continued to back up that result with strong times and placing within the top 25 at highly competitive meets, including St. Vrain and Pat Patten. Most recently, Goucher ran a brand new PR of 15:47 at the Granite Peaks League Championship, placing 14th overall and was once again one of the fastest freshmen in the field.
