XC Athlete Profile: Joel Davis

The featured athlete for this week is senior Joel Davis, from Lamar High School. The 3A standout is making his case for a run at the individual state tile this fall. He has come out of the gates strong this fall placing 1st, 1st and 4th in his first three races this season.

XC Athlete Profile: Maeve Vancik

Moving back to the Class of 2028 for this week, Maeve Vancik of Arapahoe High School is our next future star! After running 17:52 at Desert Twilight, placing an impressive 7th overall in the sweepstakes division, Vancik is proving to be one of the best runners in all of Colorado, not just for sophomores.

This week's feature is on Emry Schwalm, representing Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado. Emry is having a record breaking 2025 cross country season thus far, making her case for a run at the individual state title, with more in store.

It’s Race Week for the Ghosts and Goblins 5K and 10K!

The Ghosts and Goblins 5K will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at City Park in Denver. With themed shirts, finisher’s medals, disposable bib chip timing, free photo downloads, and more, this is a great value and a family friendly fun run. The races kick off at 9am. Runners and walkers of all ages and paces are welcome.

XC Athlete Profile: Raleigh Davis

Continuing with our sophomore focus, Raleigh Davis of ThunderRidge High School is our next future star, leading the way for all 10th graders in Colorado. Her time of 18:07 is the fastest time for the grade, running that time at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede and placing 4th overall.

Our next future star goes to another freshman, Jude Ritzenhein of Niwot High School. The class of 2029 is insanely fast, and Ritzenhein is proving that fact with his incredibly consistent cross country season.

Lucas Santos of Valor Christian High School has the fastest 5k for all sophomores in Colorado. Santos ran 15:35 at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede a couple of weeks ago, placing an impressive 7th overall in the championship division.

XC Athlete Profile: McKenna Groen

McKenna Groen of Regis Jesuit started off her high school career with a bang, placing 3rd overall in the championship division of the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede. She completed the course in a mind-boggling time of 17:54, making her one of the fastest 9th graders ever to run this race.
