There is always something special when one gets to compete out of state, and Sky St. Louis of Chaparral High School got the opportunity to race in Utah at the Pine View Invitational, running in the 1600m and the 800m. Though Sky St. Louis has other teammates to train with, she has still put together a great freshman season so far, including these very impressive times.
First, she ran 5:09 in the 1600m, good enough for #7 in all of Colorado. She then went on to run the 800m and raced to a time of 2:17, which puts her at #6 in all of Colorado. She is also the top 9th grader in both events in the state. St. Louis is definitely showing a lot of poise and maturity already for her age, by being able to run both events on the same day and still run fast times in both events.
The future is very bright for this young runner, and we cannot wait to be a part of her journey throughout the rest of her time in high school!
