In this week’s edition of Colorado Future Stars we’ll be highlighting recent standout sophomore performances.
Colorado, meet Delaney Reuter!
The Eaton sophomore has been on a rampage in the opening weeks of the season…
Reuter recently torched a state-leading 17:15 to win the John Martin XC Invitational in a course record.
She took down Isabel Allori‘s 17:21 record from last year.
Of additional context here…
Allori starred the Colorado landscape in recent years, clocking a Colorado 3,200 state record last spring, and finishing fourth at Nike Cross Nationals last fall.
Clearly, this means that Reuter is in great company…
The Eaton sophomore opened her season with a victory at the Rocky Mountain Lobo Invitational, running 17:58 – also a course record. The irony here, is that the previous course record belong to – Allori, who ran 18:00.
So, in the first two weeks of the 2024 Colorado cross country season, Reuter has picked up two wins, and two course records.
