The 2021 Vail Recreation District trail running season continues on June 19 at 9 a.m. with the Dynafit Summer Solstice Trail Run! This race, which takes place at Beaver Creek Resort, is the second event in the 2021 Dynafit Vail Trail Running Series. This year’s race is presented by and benefits The Vail Valley Charitable Fund.
The Dynafit Summer Solstice offers runners the option of a 10K or 5K course around Beaver Creek Mountain. While participating in this event, our runners can expect incredible views of Beaver Creek and the surrounding area, all while winding through beautiful aspen groves. The course continues across the ski hill and back into Beaver Creek Village. This race is a local’s favorite in the series! Join us and celebrate the longest day of the year in style. View a course map here. Racers can pick up their race bibs or register in person on Friday, June 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cripple Creek Backcountry in Avon. Race-day registration (space permitting) and bib pickup will begin at 8 a.m. at Creekside Park. The 10K race will kick off at 9 a.m. and the 5K will start at 9:15 a.m.
An awards ceremony and post-event celebration will be held at Creekside Park, which provides a great place for racers and their families and friends to relax and socialize after the race.
