Almost 500 runners took to the road around Washington Park in Denver for the Polar Bear 5K, the second race in the RunDenver Series. The 472 finishers made this event one of the largest races in Colorado since the COVID crisis began.

Leading the charge to the finish line was Adam Rich of Colorado Springs in 15:48. After the race, Rich commented on how he liked the reverse course that has been implemented at Washington Park since November to help ease congestion within the heavily used park.

Ashley Luna took top honors for the females, finishing eighth overall in 18:59.
