Heun, Perr Win The Resolve 10K; Jarriel, Hurn Win 5K

Hundreds of runners and walkers continued to pursue their New Year’s Resolutions with the Resolve 5K and 10K at City Park in Denver.  Hosted by Feat on the Street and part of the City Park Winter Running Series, the event saw cold temperatures and abundant sunshine.

Over 100 participants took part in the 10K, with 33-year old Aaron Heum coming in first for the men in 37:28.  Not close behind was Eitan Halper-Stromberg who finished second in 38:14, and 25-year old Luke Kurey came in third in 38:48.

The women’s 10K saw 30-year old Adelaide Perr take top honors in 45:40, with 37-year old Courtney Leduc coming in second in 47:31.  Rounding out the top three was 28-year old Samantha Harding in 49:06.

Over 200 participants raced the 5K, with 20-year old Scott Jarriel finishing first for the men in 18:34.  Second place belonged to 36-year old Jeremy Barry in 19:28, with 26-year old Jay Vogel grabbing third in 20:12.

In the women’s 5K, 33-year old Michelle Hurn finished first for the women and third overall in 20:17.  30-year old Jami Weiss was second in 22:54, with 23-year old Gabriella Ring rounding out the podium in 25:05.
