SUMMARY:Beulah Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Due to the Aspen Acres Fire\, the half marathon had been cancelled in 2026.  \nThe Beulah Challenge\, which started in 1996\, is a 5K\, 10K\, and half-marathon run near Beulah\, a small southern Colorado community located in the spectacular Beulah Valley nestled in the Wet Mountains. Start and finish for all races is at the school\, 8734 School House Ln\, Beulah\, CO 81023. The 5K and 10K courses take you around the scenic gravel and paved roads of Beulah. The half-marathon course runs through the Beulah Valley and the iconic Pueblo Mountain Park on hiking trails. Run the Beulah Challenge and enjoy fresh mountain air in this beautiful historic area! \nRunners 17 years old and younger may register for the 5K or 10K at the discounted price of $15. \nHalf-marathoners may want to consider running the Over It SOCO Race Series\, which consists of the Beulah Challenge half-marathon and the Rim to Rim Royal Gorge half-marathon. Click here for more information. \nHalf Marathon Time Limit: 3 1/2 Hours\nRunners\, joggers and walkers are all welcomed to participate. We applaud all those who set out to complete the Half Marathon distance\, regardless of the pace. The race is permitted through the town of Beulah and we use race marshals and Beulah Fire Department to monitor traffic throughout the race to keep the runners safe. \nThis is a pace of 16:00 minutes per mile for the half marathon. For your own safety\, we strongly discourage you from participating in this event if you cannot maintain a pace of 16:00 minutes per mile as all course support shuts down based on this pace. \nIf participants choose to continue running after the time limit\, they do so at their own risk and\, while on any roadway\, will move to the left side facing oncoming traffic and obey all traffic laws along the course. \n*Finisher medallions will be awarded only to those who finish within the official time span.

SUMMARY:Farmers 5000
DESCRIPTION:The Farmers 5000 is likely one of the very first school-based 5K fundraisers in the state of Colorado. Since 1981\, serious racers and weekend warriors alike have been coming to Wheat Ridge High School to run the Farmers 5000! Starting and finishing in front of the school\, this race winds through the surrounding neighborhoods making it a true community event. The Farmers 5000 continues to raise money to support school programs while promoting physical fitness and community spirit. All funds from entry fees are given to various educational and special programs within the school. The 5K run and walk\, along with a 1K fun run\, are open to all!
