SUMMARY:Summit Trail Running Series I
DESCRIPTION:Explore the trails of Breckenridge this summer with the 23rd annual Summit Trail Running Series with each race followed by a post-race party! The Series consists of 5 trail races in and around Summit County\, May-July. Each race features a short and long course\, and all races are open to runners of all abilities ages 10 and older. Racers must participate in 4 of 5 of the same courses (Long v Short) to be eligible for the series overall winner. There are no aid stations on the courses. The Series is cup-free – participants MUST bring a reusable water bottle. \nPLEASE NOTE: In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen trail conditions\, the race director reserves the right to delay\, cancel or reschedule the race. There are no refunds in the event of a race cancellation or change. \nDay:  Wednesday\nTime:  5:30-8:30pm \nScrap Yard Scramble General Information\nThe Summit Trail Running Series kicks off with Race #1\, the Scrap Yard Scramble\, staged out of Dillon’s Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP). \nShort Course\nShort Course (6K): Start Tenderfoot Trailhead>Cemetery Trail >Left on Sage River Trail>Right on Buzz Tail Trail>Right on Snake River Bluff Trail (Back Cliffs)> Right on Cemetery Trail>Finish at Tenderfoot Trailhead. \nLong Course\nLong Course (8k): Start Tenderfoot Trailhead>Cemetery Trail >Left on Sage River Trail>Follow Oro Grande Trail>Run on Landfill Road> Veer left on Landfill Trail> Run straight back on Landfill Road>Right on Snake River Bluff> Right on Cemetery Trail>Finish at Tenderfoot Trailhead.
