SUMMARY:Runs With Scissors Races
DESCRIPTION:The race will be held at Riverdale Regional Park\, Pavilion B\, in Brighton Colorado.  Proceeds benefit INSPIRATIONFIELD.  INSPIRATIONFIELD works with the developmentally disabled in Otero County (La Junta\, Colorado) and surrounding area. \nThe race will be held on a loop course of 1.31 miles around Mann-Nyholt Lake. The half marathon is 10 laps\, the marathon is 20 laps\, and the 50k is 24 laps. \nPrizes: Prizes will be awarded to the overall top three male and female in each distance (no duplicates)\nA race specific wicking beanie as well as a custom “scissors shaped” medal will be given to all finishers with the runners’ names on the ribbon. A custom 16 oz. pub-style glass will be given to all registered participants.

DESCRIPTION:We are a local sprint triathlon focused on the athlete experience in North Platte\, Nebraska. We are in our 23rd year. Our course is mostly flat out and back race with a 500 yard indoor pool swim\, 14 mile bike and 5k run. Our early season date and friendly atmosphere are ideal for the seasoned athlete looking to get an early season race as well as the first timer. \nChallenge yourself with the sport of triathlon by conquering the swim\, bike\, and run — or work together with your friends to complete the event as a relay. \nIndividuals are encouraged to learn to swim\, but water walking will be allowed in the kids\, individual\, and relay divisions. Any style of bike is acceptable\, but bike helmet is mandatory. \nRelays may consist of a 2- or 3-person team — one swimmer\, one bike and one runner. An athlete may complete 2 legs\, but must have another member to complete the third. \nRACE DISTANCES\n500 yard indoor swim\, 14 mile bike\, 5K run/walk \nRelay Format: Relays may consist of a 2- or 3-person team — one swimmer\, one bike and one runner.
