After being postponed from the spring to the fall in 2020, the Donut Dash 5K made a triumphant return to it’s normal spring time date with nearly 800 finishers. With waves every half and hour from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM, runners could take in the beauty of Denver’s Washington Park at a time that fit their schedule.

Josef Gertner drove down from Fort Morgan and posted the faster time of the morning, running the reversed 5K loop in 16:09. Zach Chupa of Boulder took second place and top masters with his 17:33.

14-year-old Brenda Almonte of Broomfield was the fastest lady running a 21:36. Top masters honors went to Shelley Brown of Parker in 22:26.
