The Great Candy Run returns to Wash Park

67

Just over 200 runners and walkers took to Washington Park in Denver for the annual Great Candy Run. Produced by HAL Sports, this year’s race took on a different flavor due to COVID restrictions. While the biggest change was the size of the event, the other notable change was the course. Instead of using the standard Wash Park course, organizers decided to reverse the course and run it in the opposite direction. This allowed athletes to experience the park in a totally different fashion!

Adam Rich of Colorado Springs led all participants to the finish, running a very fast 16:36. Ashley Luna of Littleton was the top female runner, corssing the line in 19:37.
