The Life’s A Beach 5K virtual run/walk has begun. With themed shirts, finisher’s medals, and bibs, the virtual race is a fun way to pass the time and stay motivated until more races start up. This race was originally scheduled as an in-person race at Sloan’s Lake in Denver in July, but has had to be turned into a virtual event due to COVID-19 event restrictions. Registration is $30, which includes a tank top and a medal, is open at https://www.coloradorunnerevents.com/Beach/
| Celebrate Clean Beaches week, an entire week devoted to keeping beaches clean, safe, and beautiful for generations to come. This event benefits the Clean Beaches Council. After completing the virtual 5k, some participants can choose to post photos or a link to the activity (from Strava, MapMyRun, Garmin, etc…) on the Facebook event page. This is NOT required, however, there will be a results page listing finisher times on the race website anytime through July 31. Participants can also send an email by clicking here to be posted in the results. |
