Photo Gallery: Snowman Stampede Half Marathon

On a perfect February morning, over 800 runners and walkers took to the Mary Carter Greenway Trail in Littleton for the 15th annual Snowman Stampede Half Marathon, 10K and 5K.

Starting and finishing at Hudson Gardens, athletes were treated to a flat and fast course with many record breaking performances being had.

In the half marathon, Matthiew Caldwell of Denver led 177 runners to the finish, running 1:15:51. Sarah Guhl of Colorado Springs led the ladies in a new event record of 1:27:04.

In the 10K, Tim Rackers on Louisville blasted a new event record 29:40 to win by almost six minutes! Laura Cook of Larkspur led the ladies, finishing fourth overall in 35:48. There were 230 finishers in the 10K.

In the 5K, Melissa Dock of Boulder led all 409 runners and walkers to the finish, crossing the line in a new event record of 16:44. The first male runner, Chris Bridges of Denver, was third overall in 17:59.
