Snowman Stampede 10K to Host RRCA Western Region Championship

The Snowman Stampede 10K will host the Road Runners Club of America Western Region Championship race this February in Littleton. Founded in 1958, the Road Runners Club of America is the oldest and largest distance running organization in the United States with over 1500 running club and event members representing 200,000 individual runners active in their running communities. 

The Snowman Stampede  5K, 10K and Half Marathon races are Saturday, February 22. The races will be held on at Hudson Gardens in Littleton.

Registration is available now at www.coloradorunnerevents.com. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome! The course will be fully supported with aid stations every two miles.

The Snowman Stampede is a benefit for the Fetal Health Foundation, based in Littleton. The race is currently celebrating its 14th year.

In addition to enjoying a flat and fast race that travels the paved Platte River Trail, runners and walkers will receive a short-sleeved technical running shirt that is offered in men’s and women’s sizing, a finisher’s medal, chip timing, and a party-like atmosphere at the finish with yummy food and drink, including muffins, bagels, cookies, bananas, oranges, and more.

More than 20 vendors have registered for the race expo. Runners Roost will help the winners of each race celebrate with gift certificates to first, second, and third place age group winners in every race.
