Three Course Records Set At Collegiate Peaks Trail Race

The 2012 Collegiate Peaks Trail Run took place on April 28 in Buena Vista, taking runners on a course that followed jeep roads, single-track trails and parts of the Midland Railroad. Three new course records were set. Stevie Kremer of Crested butte won the 25M in convincing fashion, destroying the old course record of 3:24:04 (Keri Nelson – 2009) by over 20 minutes with her time of 3:03:27. Josh Arthur, also of Crested Butte, finished the 25M in 2:48:09 and also crushed the previous best time of 2:57:09 (Justin Ricks – 2008) by exactly 9 minutes. Shimano and Pearl Izumi open Colorado ‘Education Center’

Shimano and Pearl Izumi held a grand opening this past Friday for their new 3,000 sq m (32,000 sq ft) ‘Education Center’ in Boulder, Colorado. Located just a few minutes from Pearl Izumi’s Louisville headquarters, the by-appointment-only facility will serve as a one-stop destination to view their full range of products as well as a base camp for demos, clinics and other events. Nike Boulder Backroads Marathon Looking For Volunteers

The Nike Boulder Backroads Marathon and Half Marathon is looking for volunteers. The event is September 25th at the Boulder Reservoir. Besides having a fun day, all volunteers receive a t-shirt and a trip through the food & beer (over 21) tent. This is a great way to help give back to the sport that we all love.
