With temperatures hovering in the low to mid 40′s on Saturday morning, runners toed the line for Frosty’s Frozen 5 and 10 Miler. Playing host to the Road Runners Club of America’s 5 mile championship race, runners were treated to a fast course that lead to some fast times, including course records in both the men and women’s race. Over 2,000 runner start the 29th annual Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon. This half marathon is the largest in the state, due to it’s downhill scenic course, outstanding awards, and cheap entry fee ($30). All proceeds from this event go to help fund the Clear Creek Boosters Club budget.
