1. A runner begins his journey to Steamboat Springs in
the Wild West Relay. This first annual event started in Ft.
Collins and travel 195 miles to Steamboat Springs. Teams of
either 12 or 6 runners alternated legs throughout the day and
night to try and reach Steamboat Sprigns faster than all the
others.
2. Brad Pace of the No Small Feet team runs one of his
many legs during the Wild West Relay.
3. The No Small Feet team poses for a team shot at the
start. This team was the overall winning team, running
22:30:20, and average of 6:58 per mile.
4. A runner from the Bless Our Soles team travels some
of the beautiful dirt road along the course.
5. A runner crosses one of the cattle guards on the
course.
6. Runners from the Started Stout; Ended Ale'n team make
an exchange. This team finished 11th overall with an avergae
pace of 8:37. However, the were first in the coveted "Hash
House Harriers" Division!
7. A race volunteer helps out 2 runners at an exchange
point.
8. A runner ices down his hamstrings in Steamboat
Springs after the race.
