1. Finishing strong at the second in a four race series of Wednesday evening trail races in the Denver Metro area. The next event will be a 7 mile race at South Valley Park in Littleton on July 27 at 6:40 PM.

2. Karen Voss finishes as the first female masters and fourth female overall.

3. A group of runners makes their way down the final hill towards the finish. This course started with a short, gentle climb followed by 2M of mostly rolling single-track through the trees. It then came out of the trees and descended a long smooth trail through the meadow. THis was followed by a gentle climb which turned into a steep (~300' 0.5M) climb up the Elk Ridge trail. The last mile was a reverse of the start, with a downhill finish. The start and finish were at ~7,800', with a range of ~7,500'-8,000'.

4. LaSportiva and Golite were the title sponsors of this event. Both companies are based in the Boulder area and they collectivly sponsor the LaSprtiva/Golite Mountain Running Team. Here, one of the team members finishes up the race. Team member Peter Vail won the event in 38 minutes.

5. A contingent of runners from the Denver North XC team participated. Most of them were decked out in these red "Two Feet To Go" runnign singlets.
