A record 634 runners start the Summer Roundup 12K Trail Run at Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs. The out-and-back course ran on the dirt trails of the park up to a turnaround on High Drive, 1,000 feet above the park.

Aaron Rubalcaba-Lopez of Colorado Springs set a new course record of 45:20.

Lauren Dunsmoor of Pueblo set a new female course record of 53:47.

Stephanie Jones of Colorado Springs finished a close second in the female race, crossing the line in 54:17.

Heath Hibbard of Montrose (right) outkicks David Havlick of Colorado Springs.

Michael Hagen of Colorado Springs finished sixth overall and first masters runner in 49:01.
