1. Dan Vega of Colorado Springs wins the San Juan Solstice 50M trail run in 10:21:21. Due to the increased run- off and snow, times were much slower than normal. Last year, Dan was second in 9:49:20.

2. Susan Brozik of Albuquerque was the first female finisher in 12:15:39. The San Juan Solstice 50M trail run is a scenic and very difficult loop through the high San Juans of southwestern Colorado.

3. Jason Poole of Superior finished third in 10:50:30.

4. Southwestern Colorado was hit with an extreme amount of snow during the winter and spring. Due to this, there were a few snow field crossings during the race.

5. Becasue of the extreme nature of the course, most of the runners end up walking a lot of the steep uphills.
