Kemper And Williams Win At Prospect Lake Sprint Triathlon

Racers get ready for the start of the Prospect Lake Triathlon in Colorado Springs. This race consisted of a 750m swim, a 13.1M bike and 5K run. The top athletes competed for $4200 in prize money, which was donated by The Colorado Running Company.

Over 300 athletes took part in this year's event.

Cameron Dye of Boulder is the first out of the water (posting a 9:33 split). He is followed closly by Michael Orton of Colorado Springs. Orton would finish second in 1:01:49 and Dye would end up third in 1:02:00.

Overall winner Hunter Kemper of Colorado Springs took the lead for good during the bike stage. He would use a 16:31 5K run split to win in 1:00:23.

Olympic medalist Susan Williams of Littleton was the first female across the finish line, running 1:09:11.

Heidi Grimm of Colorado Springs was the second female and first masters competitor to finish, crossing the line in 1:11:17.
