The 2nd Annual Platte River Trail 1/2 Marathon was run on April
4, 2004. The race started in downtown Littleton where the
runners ran 2 miles through town before getting on the Platte
River Bike Path. They then proceded north on the bike path to
8th Ave. in Denver where the exited and headed east over the 8th
Ave. viaduct. After 2 left turns, the race finished in front of
the Buckhorn Exchange Resteraunt at 10th Ave and Osage. Runners were treated to a post race gathering in the Buckhorn
Exchange parking. All participants received a goodie bag, a pint
glass, there choice of a RUnner's Roost hat or socks, water,
pop, food and beer. Colorado's School of Sports Massage offered
participants a free post race massage. Runner's received a free one way RTD ticket to ride the train
back to Littleton after the race.
