Ryan Haffer wins the Independence Day Fun Run 4M from Palmer Lake to Monument in 20:28.

Adam Rich finished a close second in 20:44.

Nate Pennington finished a close third in 20:53.

Mickey Kelly was the first female to cross the line, running 23:50.

Emily Borzoski was the second female, crossing the line in 24:12.

Emily Shertzer was the fourth female to cross the finish line, running 24:13.

Nearly 800 runners and walkers made the trek down the new Santa Fe Trail from Palmer Lake to Monument. With a net elevation drop of almost 400 feet, the fast downhill race helped a lot of people run very fast times.

People mill around at the finish after the race. The 4th of july parade in Monumnet was also an attraction that runners could watch once they were finished running.
