1. Spectators were abundent at the 2005 Mt. Evans Ascent.

2. Lisa Goldsmith of Nederland was the first female to summit the mountain, crossing the finish line in 2:16:18. This race ran from the Mt. Evans fee station at Echo Lake (elevation 10,600') and run up the summit road 14.6 miles to the summit at 14,000'.

3. Keri Nelson of Gunnison finished a close second, getting to the summit in 2:20:50. This race didn't actually finish at the summit, but at the highest point on the paved road. The actual summit is 400 meters farther up a single track trail.

4. J'ne Day-Lucore of Denver was the third women to the summit, crossing the finish line in 2:32:43.

5. The top four men celebrate at the summit of Mt. Evans. Pictured from Left to Right: Michael Selig of Golden (1st overall, 1:55:45), Bill Fanselow (2nd, 1:58:51), Sean Larkin of Eagle (3rd, 2:04:45), and Dereek Griffiths of Littelton (4th, 2:06:15). Sean Larkin was the only one of the four to actually continue on past the finish line and bag the fourteener.
