1. Andy Ames of Boulder runs away from the field in the 8M, running a course record time of 46:33. Second place Michael Hagen was two minutes behind.

2. Chrissy Steigrwald of Colorado Springs sets a female course record in the 8M, running 1:01:26.

3. Bernie Boettcher of Silt (a member of the presenting sponsor's LaSportiva/GoLite Mountain Running Team) beats his old course record in the 25K, winning in 1:38:30. He is followed in this picture by Charlie Kelly of Boulder, who went on the win the 50K, setting a new course record of 3:37:36.

4. Bryan Dayton of Boulder made the 25K the most exciting race of the day as he finished only 28 seconds behind Boettcher in second place.

5. Heather Hunt of Englewood came to Greenland on a mission and followed through. She dominated the women's 25K, smashing her own course record in the process. Her winning time of 1:49:18 was good enough for sixth overall and was six minutes faster than the second place female.

6. LaSportiva/GoLite's Lisa Goldsmith of Nederland finished second in the 25K and was the first masters finisher, crossing the line in 1:55:17.

7. Bronwyn Morrisy of Lafayette was the third female in the 25K, crossing the line in 1:56:05. Her she battles the flurries that seemed to fall off and on throughout the entire race.

8. Lisa Ledet of Boulder was the second female finisher and first master runner in the 50K, running 4:48:14.
