1. Clint Wells of Boulder leads Peter Vail of BOulder just after the first mile in the Go Metro State 5K in Downtown Denver. This race was billed as a flat and fast course, it these two delivered on that promise as Wells pulled away to victory in a speedy 14:46 at 5000' elevation. Peter Vail finished second in 15:20.

2. Jeremy Parks of Parker finished third in 16:24.

3. Hans Funke of Boulder was the first masters runner and fourth overall in 16:41.

4. Paige Higgins of Littleton (left), the 2006 Disney World Marathon winner, runs along side Jason Hill of Louisville. Paige was the female champion, dipping under 18 minutes with her 17:59 clocking.

5. Danielle Elise Kehoe of Arvada was the second female in 19:42.

6. Heather Fredriksen of Boulder was the third female, clocking 20:05.
